Eccentric Helical Rotor Pumps offered by UT Pumps are also known as single screw pumps or progressive cavity pumps. These pumps can be utilized to transfer all kinds of liquid which are high or low viscous, aggressive or neutral media, without or with fibrous or solid matter. Our pumps are best suited for various types of industries.
Principle of operation
Eccentric Helical Rotor pumps are rotary, self-priming, valve less positive displacement pumps having a construction which is very simple. They have only two elements of pumping: the Stator and the rotor. The stator has pitch which is double the pitch of the rotor. With the turn in rotor, cavities are formed between stator and rotor. On movement of the rotor, the chambers turn in an axial direction helically, i.e. forward or backward as per the direction of rotation. The Liquid which is required to be pumped moves via these cavities. Pump creates a turbulence free, pulsation less flow. These pumps are called self-priming pumps owing to their ability to deliver high vacuum in the suction pipe. This feature makes UT Pumps highly suitable for high suction lift.
